Bernardon Architecture worked with Longwood Gardens on its international horticultural programming following the acquisition of the Gallagher Winery estate. Neither the winery nor the residence had complete existing drawings.

Longwood needed a record of both buildings to plan improvements to the winery and adapt the residence as temporary accommodation for visiting participants — while considering historical features, accessibility, and potential mechanical, electrical, and plumbing upgrades.

Coreskan scanned both structures using Leica BLK laser scanning and Matterport imaging, capturing visible historic timber and structural detail with particular care. A drone survey supported façade review for early cracking or spalling, roof assessment, a 3D exterior model, and an orthomosaic for site and parking planning. Coreskan also documented MEP assets and coordinated access around an occupant in the residence, including off-hours work.

The approximately two- to two-and-a-half-day capture produced a registered point cloud, an LOD 300 Revit model, and 2D drawings — including site plans and reflected ceiling plans — in approximately sixteen to seventeen business days of processing. The model also supported detailed interior layouts and design visualization.
